This was that last large gathering I was part of before social distancing became the expectation. This was 3 days spent with old friends and meeting new ones, all sharing how people build connections in their neighbourhoods and the significance of this.
Now we mostly suppress our social tendencies but have time to notice things. The giant Rhubard plants in the park have grown over a foot in the past week or so. I had a brief conversation with an old neighbor and noticed how good it felt to connect in person. Just as these plants grow, I wonder how our connections will bloom once we are in the same places again
