I saw the old Air Force plane from a distance as I started the bike trail around the small airport. As I completed the loop I went to see if I could get a closer look at the plane. At a fence I noticed another biker looking studying the plane and that there were a couple of guys working around the plane. I went to say hi to the other biker and one of the guys working around the plane came over to give the biker his phone back through the fence. He had taken many close up photos for him. The worker added that he couldn’t let anyone near the plane but hopefully he’ll like the photos.

The biker shared a story of his brother flying this and similar planes many years ago and how he will hang these photos in his living room. He said he showed up just like me and told his story and this happened. He smiled and said “that’s one for the books” as we both biked away.
