For baseball fans Opening Day is kind of like our Christmas. Some of us count the days until spring training starts. Then all eyes are on Opening Day. It is a day of hope and community, each team and city looking forward to the new season and what it may bring. This is the second opening day since the pandemic began and in my hometown the annual Opening Day parade is canceled for the second consecutive year. It is hopeful that in many cities a limited number of fans will be in the ballparks to watch the game tomorrow. I can imagine how exciting that will be for everyone there. I will be at home watching on tv, just as excited and hopeful to get to a game this year.
Hopefully a great year for the home team.
