What do Mookie (Do The Right Thing movie), Kilgore Trout (Kurt Vonnegut novels), Bluto Blutarsky (Animal House movie), Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain), Quenton Casssidy (Once A Runner novel) and Lt. John J. Dunbar (Dances With Wolves movie) all have in common?

They are all characters that I selected in a recent draft that I was part of. In this draft, friends from all over the US and Canada came together on a zoom call and took turns selecting our favourite characters from movies, books, and television.

My friend Dave, in Cincinnati organized several of these events around a variety of topics such as music and sports. Each was an amazing opportunity to stay connected with old friends, meet some new people and talk about something we care about. It has also provided ideas of movies to watch, books to read, and music to listen to. They are a creative fun way to stay connected during the pandemic.
